Nisha Nair
Research Programme Manager – Rheumatic and Musculoskeletal Diseases
nisha.nair@manchester.ac.ukNisha is a post-doctoral research fellow who has worked in musculoskeletal disease genetics since the start of her PhD in 2011. Her main research area is DNA methylation and genomics and she has focused on biomarkers of treatment response in rheumatoid arthritis and other conditions.
Nisha is the project manager for the Rheumatic and Musculoskeletal Diseases (RMD) theme of the NIHR Manchester Biomedical Research Centre, working closely with Prof Anne Barton to monitor objectives, budgets and projects within the RMD programmes. Nisha is also The University of Manchester’s School of Biological Sciences Lab Environmental Sustainability Lead and has several teaching roles with undergraduate and postgraduate students.
