Dr Katie Baker
Katie has worked in translational research since 2014, managing a range of clinical trials, research programmes and strategic relationships across commercial, NHS and academic organisations. She previously worked at The Christie NHS Foundation Trust, The University of Manchester, and the NIHR Biomedical Research Centre (BRC) at Guys and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust and King’s College London. She also spent several years as a medical writer working on strategic marketing projects with a variety of pharmaceutical clients.
As Partnerships Manager, Katie works across the NIHR Manchester BRC and NIHR Manchester Clinical Research Facility (CRF) supporting the delivery of commercial strategy and managing key strategic partnerships.
She has a PhD in Respiratory Pharmacology and an MRes in Experimental Physiology and Drug Discovery from Imperial College London. She also has a BSc (Hons) in Pharmacology from Newcastle University and is a certified Prince2 Practitioner.
Katie is passionate about driving innovation to reduce inequality and improve the lives of patients.
